John Spangberg and his wife, Carrie, bought a four-bedroom, 3.5 bath at 811 El Gato Way in Gilroy for $600,000 from Yolanda Perez on April 15.
Perez paid $819,500 for the 3,255 square foot house in Aug. 2006. It was built in 2005.
Mr. Spangberg has been a realtor for 22 years and currently works for Realty World Land of Liberty in San Jose.
He is a retired captain of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
He earned his bachelor's in mechanical engineering from Purdue University ('57) before enlisting in the Army.
