Preservationist pays $1 million in Hollister

Tim Lantz, who owns Circa Architectural Antiques in Hollister, paid $1 million for a home at 2200 Southside Rd. on June 28.
He purchased the property from the Lois Sanard Trust. Mrs. Sanard, a longtime Hollister resident who worked at Bank of America and was active with Welcome Wagon, passed away in April 2001. She originally bought the home in 1987.
Lantz, 58, is a renowned historic preservationist and stained glass artist in the South Valley. He's won several awards for his work, including the 1993 Grand Prize in the Great American Home Awards program, the Restoration Award from California Preservation Foundation and the Beauty in Progress Award from City of Morgan Hill.
Circa sells an assortment of antiques from plumbing fixtures to electrical and mill work.
